PUBLIC SPEAKING ONE-ON-ONE CLASSES

In the public speaking first session, you’ll be introduced to the rhetorical canons, which are a set of tools you can apply to prepare and perform speeches. learn to deal with stage-fright and speech anxiety by implementing proven, modern techniques of breathing control and relaxation.

Learn brain training exercises to expand your vocabulary and enhance memory recall.

SESSION ONE - M1 CL1

In this session, we’ll use storytelling in a more advanced way, you’ll learn to organise your stories wherein the first part describes the characters and setting, the second part describes the conflict or problem, and the third provides the climax and resolution to the problem.

SESSION THREE - M1 CL3

In this session, you will learn how memorization techniques can be incredible fun instead of useless, boring and tedious as many people think. You’ll learn several techniques, such as the “Memory Palace Technique” also known as the “Method of Loci”, a powerful memory enhancement which uses visualization with the use of spatial memory. The “SUAVE Method” to never forget a person’s name again and fun games to keep your mind active before, during and after your presentation.

SESSION FIVE - M1 CL5

In this session, you’ll learn rhetoric exercises known as the progymnasmata, the first task is not to “think of something to say” but to “retell a fable.” You’ll learn about retelling and presenting good stories, facts, and ideas.

SESSION TWO - M1 CL2

In this session, poetry will be your number 1 ally. You’ll learn how to use poetry to help improve your timing, phrasing and expressiveness when presenting. Practicing public speaking through poetry allows you to express your feelings and ideas by the use of distinctive style, elegance

and rhythm.

SESSION FOUR - M1 CL4

It has been said that “drama is the capstone of rhetoric” for this very reason—that we designed this final session to intensify the final details of your projection, body language, vocal modulation, facial expressions and gestures.

 

You’ll learn how to keep yourself motivated to repeatedly practice public recitation to nurture and keep boosting your confidence.

 

We will end this season with your final 10 min speech and you’ll have learned important techniques for combating those butterflies we talked about during our first session.
